Conventionalism had not been the basis on which Romanticism had been established. This is because of the unconventional ways of expressions observed in the non-adherence to societal rules. Therefore, rejection had been evident in most works of arts of the period of Enlightenment as well as Industrial Revolution. There could never be anything measured qualitatively in case of the works of arts created in the period of Romanticism. This is because of the non-existence of standards in arts of Romanticism to be defined in some manner.
